Allowing more than 1 person to be assigned to a task. We often work with a particular set of clients that often utilize their own administrative staff to assist with a task.
When in the Kanban View - It would be nice to see a number ticket on a card regarding if new comments have been added to the task that you have not reviewed yet.
Allow a setting that if a comment is added to a task, it auto flips to In Progress
Clients tend to not mark a task done on their side so perhaps reviewing how that functionality looks on the client portal side.
Thank you for your feedback! This is very helpful for us as we determine which features and improvements to bring to the Tasks App next.
#1 - To confirm, you’d like to assign a task to a set of clients within a company? Assigning a task to a company is an effective way of assigning to multiple people at once, although there is a limitation to assigning to a set of people.
#2 - We have heard this request before and plan on working in a way for you to know which Tasks have had comments left on them!
#3 - I’d love to hear a bit more about your use case. Are these tasks assigned to members of your team, clients, companies, or a mix? Do the assignees ever comment on the task, perhaps for clarification, before they start the work?
#4 - We are planning on making improvements to the client experience to make the action to mark as done more prominent. This is feedback we’ve heard from multiple customers.
1 - One of our companies has 30 members and we don’t want one task to be assigned to all - We essentially want to be able to assign a task to a priority resource and also assign to the company admin assistant that helps with the actual work.
2- Thanks!
3 - Right now we are having to check notifications to see if tasks have had comments made to them or have been marked done. It would be nice to be able to pull open the tasks screen and see either a ticker number or some sort of indication if a task has had a change to it since you last accessed it.
I’m very excited about Copilot, and excited about the engagement between the product team and the community!
One piece of feedback on tasks:
I would like to see the ability to have a set of tasks (or subtasks) be saved as a project template. For example, I want to set up a client on a given project type. I can select from a pre-defined set of projects I’ve already created, and all the tasks associated with that project are automatically assigned. it would be great to be able to set due dates for each task from a project start date or date in the future. for example:
Hi @Mike_R Thank you so much for the feedback! This is a great request, and I have shared your request with the product team! Please let us know if you have any more feedback. We are always here to listen! Thanks!
Allowing multiple users, internal and external, to be assigned to a task.
A page to hold tasks that belong to a client and visible to them, without actually having them be assigned to a client. We have a lot of tasks to be completed on behalf of the client, and want them to be able to see that we are working on it, but don’t need to assign the task to the client. My understanding is the only way they are able to see a task is if it’s assigned to that client or employee.
Thanks, love having this feature, but with it’s current set up am still unable to use it for our company and clients.
Hi @maintenance_matters! Thanks so much for reaching out – appreciate you taking the time to provide context and your use case. It sounds like this would be a very impactful change for you and your team to help unlock usability.
I’ve gone ahead and filed relevant feature requests with our team and shared your note with them directly as well. If you have any other requests or additional information to share please don’t hesitate to reach out – we love hearing from you
It would be great if we could drag and drop to reorder subtasks. If a subtask is dependent on the completion of a different subtask, it would be nice to order them in that way. currently it seems like they are just ordered based on sequence of input.
Hi @Jordan_Kulicki! Thank you for reaching out and welcome to the community. We appreciate your feedback and I will share it with our product team. We will keep this request in mind as we continue to improve the Task app. Please let us know if you have anymore feedback or questions. We are here to help and listen!
