Billing App Feature Check-in

I reached out to the team previously about some improvements to the billing app and I wanted to check in to see if there were any developments that could be shared.

  1. When will Pre-Authorized Debit be available as an option for Canadian customers? (I know that the team was previously waiting on Stripe for this because their latest version wasn’t fully compatible yet)
  2. Can there be a custom payment method box of some sort where I can write a alternative payment instructions? One popular one is interac E-Transfer in Canada. Although it can’t be processed through the billing app, if there’s even a button to select e-transfer and then the ability for me to write a description like “please send e-transfer to …@…com”, that would be great.

On pre-authorized debit, we are limited by the Stripe integration we have in place. We can enable the new payment method as soon as Stripe approves it for their latest Connect integration. That means it’s hard for us to forecast a timeline, but if I had to guess it’s in a few months.

You could add custom instructions in the memo field or include an invoice attachment that describes how to pay. We don’t have immediate plans for a more prominent custom payment method box, but it’s a request we’re tracking and will prioritze based on feedback.
